
Christine Tolson – Chief Executive & Director
Christine
became Chief Executive of Quality Recognition Limited on 1st
October 2004. She is responsible for a team of 26 associates,
financial & contract performance, strategic management also
design & delivery of bespoke programmes. Currently working
within the devolved administrations, national, regional & local
government and the private sector to raise the quality of business
start up, development and support within the UK and Europe.
Christine
was, for 4 years, previously Chief Executive of SFEDI, the
national standard setting body and prior to that ran Enterprise
Agencies within Yorkshire for nearly 8 years.
Christine has
D32 & D33 Assessor awards and was recently
working in the Czech Republic as an International Assessor.
Has held several positions within the Institute of Business
Advisers: Vice Chairman and member of the Executive Board 2003 – 2005,
National Membership Chairman, Scottish Membership Secretary to
October 2000 and Chairman of Y&H branch to 1996.
Christine has also been an Investors in People Ambassador
(national) for four years and previously undertook the role
of Strategic
Board Chairman for Young Enterprise (South Yorkshire) for 3
years, with active participation with YE for 12 years. Also
has been a
national judge of Investors in People Awards and Bookkeeper
of the Year Awards.
Lorraine
Goodison – Office Manager & Centre
Co-ordinator
Lorraine joined the company in April 2005 to undertake the role
of Office Manager upon the move into the current premises in
Chesterfield.
Lorraine brings with her a wealth of project management experience
from her previous roles within the Post Office where she was
employed for nearly 20 years.
Her present job role gives her responsibilty for the effective & efficient
running of the office and daily liaison with the Associate
teams.
She recently added to her remit the role of Centre Co-ordinator
upon QR Ltd gaining City & Guilds Approved Centre status.
Lorraine is responsible for all the administration of the
registration, certification and daily running of the Centre.
Dawn Tighe – Finance Manager
Dawn joined the company in November 2006.
She is a qualified Accounting Technician, with over 15 years experience in managing accounts for various types of business, including a charity.
Dawn is responsible for maintaining all accounting records, analysis of the financial data, production of monthly management information and year end accounts.

A
self motivated individual who has extensive knowledge of
the small business sector in Northern Ireland and Europe.
Currently
developing and providing start up and growth training and
consultancy to business owners, training for economic development
organisations, community/voluntary sector and District Councils.

Mentoring small and developing businesses
to enable them to identify and exploit opportunities

Appraisals, monitoring and evaluation and feasibility
assessments of projects

John Grant – Scotland
A serial Entrepreneur, a self starter who developed and grew
several highly successful businesses in a diversity of
sectors by development of the “ Team“ whilst ensuring
business objectives and targets were achieved, if not exceeded,
whilst
delivering customer satisfaction.
A time served Joiner who moved successfully into retail then
business advice but was always aware that lifelong learning was
necessary to be successful. He undertook accountancy, marketing,
business advice and assessor qualifications complimented by the
necessary CPD for membership of several relevant Institutes to
maintain credibility in the business support marketplace.
Rachel Stirling - England
A highly motivated,
enthusiastic professional with 10 years business advisory experience
and 12 years as a manager, with specialisms
in training and assessment. With extensive skills and knowledge
in developing business plans, change management, training packages
and management tools to encourage productivity and improve
moral. Offering an insight into the ethos of running a business
to any would be entrepreneurs, and with a proven record of
establishing and developing new ventures.
All the Directors worked within the Czech Republic last year
as International Mentors to Business Adviser / assessors
